So, here they are!! I am so happy & excited to be their guide on this tour. We spend 3 nights in Copenhagen and we stayed at Omena Hotel. That is literally the cheapest hotel we can get that is just a walking distant from the central train station. We decided to took train to Aalborg after our stayed in Cph for it is better to stay in a hotel that is near the train station. With children and senior citizen in the group I guess that is the best option.
Smua hotel kat Cph ni kecik ok. Wlp you bayar rate 5star kat Msia. Sini..takder star2 nyer, bulan jer ader. Well opcos ader yg 5star but then again ...kena la kluat byk $$$...The room come with electric kettle, microwave & fridge. Of course tv as well but then again, no point coz smua dlm bahasa Danish.
My mum & I share the bed
My dad sleep at sofa cum bed. Max stay is 3 ppl. Lebih dr tu mmg rasa cam sardin. Yang penting ada hot water & heating. Hahah..Malam tu xder jalan2 sgt. Just show them around town, We were not far from Tivoli Theme Park and also the shopping street. But since everyone is having jetlag, so mlm tu lps mkn smua nak baring2. Tido mmg payah because of the time change. Body pun konpius.
So besok pagi smua excited nak jalan. Armed with winter jacket, gloves and hat, we make a move. Aim of the day, jalan sampai kaki nak putus! Bila lagi kan..The picture above was taken at the town square.
Then we off to the shopping street, Stroget Street (with the O slash). Masih awal lagi ni, around 9am. Kedai sine buka 1030am onward so the street is pretty empty. Therefore, mum decide to take a picture of her and budak hitam yg sesat kat belakang tu. Hehehe...
Bila tghari, this street will be jammed pack with people, local and tourist alike. Kalau nak beli souvenir, this is the place because it is not easy to find souvenir apart from touristy place. And dont expect it to be cheap ya although our money is bigger than theirs, our purchasing power is very low. My dad got a shock of his life bila nak beli Coke tapi 750ml that cost RM2 back home is RM10 here. So, dia pun cakap..xper, I diet jer dr minum Coke nanti balik Msia boleh bantai smp perut kembong!
Smua nak take picture with the troll and supposedly using Viking helmet. But actually, the real viking helmet is nothing like this ya. Ni dah di ubah2.
The whole journey, budak yang pakai sluar pink tu mmg paling lambat bergerak. So, slalu kena left behind by others. Hahah...mak dia jadi mangsa kena tunggu dia. It's very nice to walk around town because their road manner is wayyyy better than us. Not so must of surprise there..hehe
We passed by flower stall. Although it is winter, there are still some plant that could grow and survive the Danish winter.
Oh..Oh...I pun nak ambik gambar dengan Abg Troll ni. Heehe...
Then we walked to Christianborg Palace. This is where the Danish Parliment, the Prime Minister's office and the Danish Supreme Court situated. Some part of the palace are used by the monarchy including the Royal Reception Room, the Palace Chapel and the Royal Stables.
Masa ni it seem dia org tengah buat renovation on area.
It was drizzling and windy and cold so we decided to wonder around area that commoner can actually roamed. That why we end up here although I can't remember what is this room. But as we walked along, we come across where the horse carriage was kept and where they trained the horse for official parade/ceremony but we can't take picture pasal nanti kuda tu terkejut. Tak pasal2 lain pulak jadi nyer.
My parent taking picture in front of the equestrian statue of King Christian IX at the Riding Ground Complex with the Christiansborg Palace Tower behind (although the top part x nampak..heheh).
My dad was so fascinated with these tree..
It was actually noon time when we reached the central station and everyone is hungry so we decided to have lunch cum tea/coffee time and went back to the hotel. Org tua and budak2 dah penat. So ok la..we go back. Malam tu my sis and I ader plan lain. So, nak bagi budak2 tido. Hahah..
Yesser...Ini la plan mlm tu. My mum stay at the hotel with my nephew and niece while we, my sis, nephew & dad take a walk at the shopping street. Well, what do you know..we found ourselves, a Christmas Market.
It was still drizzling so that explained the benda puteh2 tu..
Nothing much to buy at the market but I guess, we just do people watching and enjoying the Xmas ambience.
Ramai gak org mlm tu especially tourist
One last picture before we make a move and see what kind of souvenir that we need to get.
People are mostly just hanging there while having their cup or hot chocolate. I don't see much of buying activity there that night.
I just love Xmas deco..
Me and mr.santa..
We're back to the shopping street and snow flake start to fall. It's always nice to see the first snow falling. It has this melancholic feeling..
So mlm tu we conclude day 1 with sight seeing & some shopping. The next day..tunggu ya...nak mandi jap.
