The end of our Copenhagen tour

So, here we are again. on our third day in Copenhagen we visited the little mermaid. If you go to Copenhagen and do not pay a visit to the little mermaid, then you visit will not be complete. We took the train to go they (thank you for my husband's niece for the info) as I couldn't remember how to go there. We practically end up at the train station again after walking for ..like 30minutes. Hahah...anyway, we finally there...
OK..not this one but near here somewhere..aahha
 There it is...the Little Mermaid
Dad won't go all the way down so this is the nearest he will posed with the Little Mermaid.
Of course my mum pun x nak kalah..nak juga posing dgn mermaid...
Mum and dad in front of...err...apa entah nama mamat ni..nevermind..hahah..
Grandparents with their grandson. This is the Gideon Fountain. Just a walking distant from the Little Mermaid. We went to Little Mermaid by train but we decided to go back by foot because that way, we can stop by and enjoy scenery and also any tourist attractions along the way. For example this church..
St. Alban Church...one of the few Anglican Church in Copenhagen. FYI, a majority of Danes belong to the Church of Denmark and Lutheran is the main domination here.
We didn't go inside the church so depan pintu pun jadi la. Hahha...
Ni we jumpa along the way near Maersk office, which is like 15min walk from the Little Mermaid. Major company in Denmark like Maersk or Carlsberg spend a lot in developing art creativity in the country & this is one of the example. My dad & nephew were discussing on what could it symbolized...
So jalan sikit lagi we reach the Citadel (Kastellet). It is one of the best preserved star fortress in the Northern Europe.

One of the entrance to Kastellet. The area houses various military activities but it mainly serves as a public park and a historic site.

The red building behind is called The Row (Stokkene), are six two- storey terrances which was originally build as barracks for the soldiers based at the Citadel. You can still see army personnel moving around the compound because they still have their offices here.
 Up the hill we go..
There is one windmill in the Kastellet, which is still functioning. It is the last remaining windmill around Copenhagen that is still working.
As we leaving the Kastellet, mum & dad decided to take a picture with the church tower serve as the background.
After penat berjalan and smua kebuluran, we decided to have our lunch at one of the cafe along our way back. And it was a damn EXPENSIVE lunch..hahah..makan kat cafe sine lebih kurang cam makan kat 5star hotel nyer restaurant. Memang mahal giler ok. Not very surprising since Denmark sememang nyer antara negara paling mahal to live.
So off we go..lepas recharge tenaga, we jalan lagi.  And sampai la to our next attraction, the Frederik's Church or popularly known as the Marble Church. Official church of Denmark, meaning royal family smua kawin sini and apa2 official religious function, memang kat sine la tempat nyer.
Depan pintu masuk..
Sorry eh, quality x cantik coz I guna ipod since xleh guna flash dlm ni. I am always amaze with the church here, so beautiful.
Mum insist nak ambik picture dlm church..heheh
Taking picture with the Marble Church serve as the background..
Lepas tu we singgah at Amalienborg, which serve as the winter palace for the royal family. Ni pun xder gate so you free to roam around asal jangan masuk dalam sudah.
My dad wanted stand nearer to the guard tapi guard ni x suka org dekat dia so asked my dad to move further. Hahah... x friendly langsung. So, this is the nearest dad can go.
Me and the niece...peserta paling lambat dalam acaran berjalan kaki around Copenhagen. Hahah...
Our last stop of the day is Nyhavn or simply known as the new port. During summer, this place is the hype of activities and most of the restaurant buka sampai malam. It's still open for winter tapi sapa la nak duduk lama2 kat luar in such weather. That day, of course there are a lot of stall selling hot drinks/foods/snacks. There are also some very nice hotel nearby Nyhavn kalau sapa nak datang sine. :)
Building yang warna-warni ni very popular icon in any tourist picture to Copenhagen and kebykkan souvenir pun mesti ader gambar ni. It is very synonymous with Copenhagen.
Lapar pulak jalan2 kat area ne with all the smell of foods/snacks. From here I think you jalan few minutes, dah balik to Stroget Street. So, senang cita la, memang senang nak jalan2 kat sine. Semua walking distant jer..just that kena biasakan dirik byk berjalan. Nak pakai taxi..all the best...pasal boleh bankrupt!
This is the stock exchange building...cam bursa saham kl la ..
Masa balik to hotel tu, kita org jumpa a few street performance and this is one of them

Ok..x ingat maner plak ni eh..hahaha
So, mlm tu sister & me pergi shopping lagi. Hahah..senang nak jalan coz only two of us. Org tua & budak2 smua kat hotel resting after walking the whole day. Lagipun the next mrg we need to board the 9am train to Aalborg. Nasib baik la our hotel dekat dengan central train station so x payah jalan jauh and no need to be there so early. It will be a 5 hrs ride tapi the train ride is very smooth, scenic and the kids saw snow for the first time during the train ride...so it was good.
